When to use it
We use the Present Indicative to:

1. Talk about habitual actions in the present  
  • Los niños se lavan las manos antes de cenar. (The  kids wash their hands before eating dinner.)
  • Normalmente, miramos televisión en las noches. (We normally watch TV at night.)

2. State a fact
  • Trabajo en un banco. (I work in a bank.)
  • La madera no se quema si está mojada. (Wood doesn't burn if it's wet.)

3. State something what will happen in the near future (normally used with an expression of time)
  • Entregamos la tarea mañana. (We hand in the homework tomorrow.)
  • ¿Llevas algo a la fiesta este fin de semana? (Are you bringing something to the party this weekend?)
