Present Tense: To be (question form)
By rearranging the order of the words, you can ask simple “yes or no” questions about identity or characteristics.
You are German.
He is playing outside.
Are you German?
Is he playing outside?
To form a question with the verb “to be”:
1. Switch the order of the subject and the verb, then
2. Add a question mark (“?”) at the end.
These chocolates are made by hand.
Are these chocolates made by hand?
Skiing is fun.
Is skiing fun?
